The Development Team is responsible for ensuring client success by building scalable, cutting-edge enterprise solutions in a fast-paced environment. As a Software Developer II, you will work closely with Senior Developers, Technical Leads, and Product Managers to build and enhance applications and components in our financial services product suite. You will gain fluency in capital market concepts and insight into the operations of investment management firms. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test quality components, services, functions, classes, pages and interfaces using C# .NET, the Microsoft technology stack, JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code based on requirements and specifications
- Troubleshoot and improve existing software, and provide technical support to Siepe’s clients
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
- Follow development best practices and standards, including setting up and maintaining builds
- Innovate our current processes and tools, both internally and externally as our client base expands
- Participate in weekly sprint planning, and execute those plans to meet weekly sprint objectives
- Collaborate with designers, business analysts, and architects on development projects
- Improve your knowledge of the financial services industry
- Some travel to local client offices may be required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related major
- Experience building new software applications
- 2 to 5 years of development experience in C# or Java
- Solid understanding of object-oriented concepts, data structures, and algorithms
- 2 to 5 years of experience working with any RDBMS (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
- Experience with MS SQL Server is preferred
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript is preferred
- Experience with modern JavaScript front-end frameworks is preferred (Angular, React, Vue)
- Experience with Source Control, Git, and CI/CD is preferred
- Experience with unit testing frameworks is a plus
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
Skills:
- Financial services experience is a plus (or a demonstrable interest in financial services)
